Ending Homelessness Together
Affected by homelessness?
As a major UK provider of supported housing for those affected by homelessness, we believe vulnerable people should access support that helps them improve their lives. We work in collaboration with partners nationwide to maximise progress toward our shared goal: ending homelessness together.

By working collaboratively with partners and delivering services in an asset-based, person-centred, psychologically informed manner, Sahara Housing team empowers individuals through hope, resilience, and practical tools. This approach builds self-worth, motivates positive change, and supports the maintenance of healthier lifestyles.

Our Models of Homelessness Services
We provide a range of services for people experiencing homelessness, offering different models to suit the needs of commissioners and the local community.
Types of Services Delivered
- Accommodation-based hostel services: These facilities offer high levels of support and are designed for individuals with significant needs.
- Rough sleeper support: Including shelters and outreach initiatives to engage and assist those sleeping on the streets.
- Housing First services: Accommodation-based support focused on providing stable housing as a foundation for recovery.
- Self-contained unit accommodation: Used as either a step down from more intensive support or as an early intervention to prevent the escalation of need. Staff presence may vary from on-site during office hours to scheduled visits.
- Gender-specific accommodation: Tailored services for women, addressing multiple and complex needs and recognising the risk of abuse from male counterparts.
- Family accommodation: Temporary housing for homeless families while their applications are reviewed by Local Authority housing teams.
- Services for people with multiple and complex needs: Targeted at those with at least three of the following: homelessness, mental ill-health, substance misuse, or offending histories.
- Community-based tenancy support: Assistance to help people maintain their tenancies or prevent homelessness, both during and after support interventions.
- Accommodation for couples: Specialist units within broader services that are suitable for couples.
- Pet-friendly accommodation: Housing options that welcome people with dogs.
Drop-in and advice services: Support for those currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
